"Hale o' Nalu"

The owners of Hale O Nalu (home of waves), had their view painted to take back to their home in Vermont to remind them of what they are missing when back east.  The surf spot in front of their home is known as “China Walls.”  When the owners decided to have their view painted they called Bishop Museum to find the best seascape artist in the state, my name was the one they were given.  It turns out they were my neighbors when I was growing up in Tokyo.  It’s a small world after all.
