"Two by Two They Entered the Honolulu Academy of the Arts" By Bill Braden

Created for the annual fund raiser event at and for the Academy, this piece was meant to be whimsical and fun.  Using the two marble horses that are the entrance features to the museum, we added pairs of people to the scene.  One of the practical rules the artist was taught when he was in architecture school was, "always put people in pairs (or groups) for architectural renderings, single figures look lonely..."  He also loves to add a painting within a painting, a device that sets up an echoing, reflective reaction within the mind of the viewer.
