Another image published and mailed around the globe as note cards, the original was purchased by a very famous patron of the arts family.  Lanikai was the name given to the area by the developer, I understand Kai Lani is the proper order but either way the translation is “Heavenly Sea,” a most appropriate name for this beach.   It has been retired from the “Best Beaches” list because it just kept beating all competition.  Though I was trained to paint in the best schools of America and Europe, painting on location at this beach is what taught me the real colors and feel of painting paradise.  My family home is located here.  Do you see the sand angel?
