Bill
Braden's Work - Sculptures
Braden’s sculptural
works have been created in stone, steel, wood, and bronze. He has a
degree from the Rhode Island School of Design in sculpture (B.F.A. in
1980).
Drinking
Fountain:
Architects of Hawaii
specified this piece for the lobby of the King Tower at Liliuokalani
Gardens Condominium. It is a sculptural adaptation for a drinking fountain
where the water from the push button drinking faucet hits the stone
and flows down over the rock as though the water had eroded it over
centuries, much like the Pali.
Bronze Tan:
When the artist
used to exhibit at Wyland Galleries, he discovered most of the sales
there, in $ volume, were in sculpture. This piece, 12” long, makes
an ensemble with his beach paintings. Other beach figures are in process.
Price: $2000, edition size 190.
